The primary function of this role is to coordinate and manage the HSE activities in their area of responsibility as well as oversee the site Health, Safety and Environmental Management Systems across our investments.Reporting to the HSE Manager, the successful candidate will be passionate about health, safety and environment, have sound ability to communicate effectively with operational and functional teams and facilitate understanding about the nature of HSE risks to enhance controls, prevent harm to people and the environment and improve the outcomes of workWhy BTP?   A permanent full-time role based in Hazelmere Generous remuneration package Work with a dynamic and friendly team Employee discounts and perks on health insurance, entertainment, technology, travel and retail stores  Key Responsibility  Proactively promote a healthy, safe and environmentally responsible working environment in accordance with legislation and Perenti Group requirements.Coordinating the incident investigation and reporting processes, including facilitating incident investigations, coaching line leaders in these processes and ensuring the Group Incident Reporting and Investigation process is maintained.  Proactively engage front line leaders to coach and build capability in HSE-related activities such as verification of critical controls and suitability and compliance to risk registers.Conducting regular inspections and audits of HSE process, systems and programsSchedule and coordinate a program of work observations and interactions, to learn how work is done.Assist with analysis of HSE data and compilation of reports to improve understanding of performance and help inform decision makingSkills/Experience  Minimum Diploma of Health and Safety, with tertiary qualifications preferredAbility to interpret Legislation, Australian Standards, Codes of Practice and relevant industry practises.Ability to conduct incident investigations, preferably ICAM Lead Investigator trained.Mining or heavy industry experience,Current First Aid Certificate, qualified drug and alcohol testing and familiarity with Chemalert is highly regarded.Valid manual Australian driver’s licence.Click on the Apply button to start your journey and join the BTP team today.
