Project Controller

Headquartered in Australia, Perenti has operations and offices in 12 countries across four continents, employs around 8,000 mining professionals and is creating enduring value and certainty for clients on some of the world's largest mining projects.Project ControllerReporting to the Project Management Office (PMO) Lead, the Project Controller will provide financial and budget support to all Group Technology programs and projects. The main responsibility of this role will be to support the Group Technology PMO Lead and experienced Project/Program Managers whilst helping to deliver an exceptional experience for our customers. The role is critical in ensuring valued financial control/support is provided across the variable projects within the portfolio and quality outcomes are delivered with appropriate levels of assurance.Key ResponsibilitiesSupport the Project Management Office (PMO) through the development and refinement of effective financial processes, tools, and templatesAssist with establishing project budgetsProvide portfolio, program and project support through activities including, but not limited to, estimation for future work, budgeting, tracking, and establish project controls for programs and projectsProvide support with raising purchase orders and receipting invoicesAssist in and support proactive analysis of inflight programs and projects to ensure quality outcomes are delivered throughout the project lifecycleSupport the day-to-day administrative/operational aspects of the projects and ensure adherence to the project management framework and financial guidelinesRole Specific RequirementsThe successful candidate will have demonstrated experience working in a complex IT project environmentExcellent understanding of project accounting practicesExperience working with, and supporting, multiple projects across a variety of areas within the business5+ years of experience in a finance and/or project accounting role supporting complex technology projects or programsDemonstrable ability to communicate effectively and succinctly with a diverse range of stakeholders at all levelsAbility to manage multiple project related tasks with a sharp attention to both quality and detailDesirable CriteriaPostgraduate qualifications and relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/trainingExperience in mining will be highly regarded but not essentialWork EligibilityRight to work in Australia with no restriction on hours (e.g. citizen, permanent resident)Job Type: Permanent, full-timeThe Perenti Group of companies will comply with all applicable government directives or Public Health Orders.  Should a government directive or Public Health Order mandate specific vaccinations for our people, we will require employees to comply with these requirements.  This may involve employees providing proof of vaccination as a condition of employment. 85000 AUD Perth
