Headquartered in Australia, Perenti has operations and offices in 13 countries across four continents, employs around 8,000 mining professionals and is creating enduring value and certainty for clients on some of the world’s largest mining projects.The Position:We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced HSE Advisor to join our ISG team. The successful candidate will coordinate and manage the HSE activities in their area of responsibility as well as oversee the site Health, Safety and Environmental Management Systems across our investments.Reporting to the HSE Manager, the successful candidate will be passionate about safety, have sound ability to communicate effectively with operational and functional teams and facilitate understanding about the nature of HSE risks to enhance controls, prevent harm to people and the environment and improve the outcomes of work.  Role Responsibilities:Proactively promote a safe working environment ensuring workplace health and safety of all as per Perenti Group.Coordinating the incident investigation and reporting processes, including facilitating incident investigations, coaching line leaders in these processes and ensuring the Group Incident Reporting and Investigation process is maintained.  Proactively engage front line leaders to coach and build capability in HSE-related activities such as verification of critical controls and suitability and compliance to written procedures.Maintaining HSE documentation and initiate continuous improvement as applicable.Maintain accurate data in the HSE information systemConducting regular audits of HSE process, systems and programsLiaise with operations on HSE matters under the direction of HSE Manager including attending and participating in audits and meetings.Schedule and coordinate a program of regular safety inspections and work observations, ensuring that issues identified are recorded and managed.Ensure HSE-related actions are recorded and tracked appropriately in the HSE information systemAssist with analysis of HSE data and compilation of reports to improve understanding of performance and help inform decision makingMaintain the site risk register and ensure risk assessments are maintained and used to inform improved controls of HSE risks.Monitor the completion of all HSE related responsibilities including site inspections, risk assessments and completion of actions.Key Requirements:Minimum Certificate IV Work Health and Safety, with tertiary qualifications preferredMinimum 3 years' experience as a practising Safety Practitioner.Ability to interpret Legislation, Australian Standards, Codes of Practice and relevant industry practises.Familiarity with the relevant Work Health and Safety legislationAbility to conduct incident investigations, preferably utilising ICAMMining or heavy industry experience, current First Aid Certificate, qualified drug and alcohol testing and familiarity with Chemalert is highly regarded.Environmental management and auditing experience and qualifications are desirable but not essential.Valid manual Australian driver’s licence.What We Offer:Permanent full-time employment with salary sacrificing options available. Flexible working arrangements.Attractive and competitive salary package.Part of a team that actively embraces change and smarter ways of working.Hazelmere based employment with ad-hoc travel opportunities to Mt Thorley, New South Wales and Mackay, Queensland. Employee referral bonuses.Our unique employee crisis fund.Ongoing support and career development opportunities within the Perenti Group.Extensive offers from corporate partners including novated leasing, health insurance discounts, travel/accommodation benefits plus much more.We are guided by our principles; no shortcuts, never wasteful, walk in their shoes, smarter together and enable tomorrow.We strive to create an inclusive environment for all employees.
