Environment & Sustainability Superintendent

Headquartered in Australia, Perenti has operations and offices in 12 countries across four continents, employs 8,000 mining professionals and is creating enduring value and certainty for clients on some of the world's largest mining projects Perenti is seeking an experienced Superintendent in our newly created Environment and Sustainability team based in Hazelmere.The role will be instrumental in developing the Mining Industry Sector Group’s (ISG) Environment and Sustainability Management Plans, procedures and supporting initiatives. In addition, the role will play a key role in evaluating the ISG’s compliance to Group sustainability initiatives, environmental standards, legislative and other obligationsKey Accountabilities:Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to support the delivery of Perenti's sustainability commitments.Assist in data analysis and reporting of Environment and Sustainability performance across the ISG.Coordinate Greenhouse Gas and Water reporting across the ISG.Develop and facilitate Environment and Sustainability training programs.Develop and deliver sustainability initiatives and opportunities for continuous improvement within the ISG.Conduct inspections and audits of site facilities, processes, and contractors.Develop and submit ESG content during the contract tender development process.Provide support for Annual Sustainability Reporting and ESG reporting tools and benchmarks (e.g., TCFD); external and internal sustainability reporting and tracking of targetsQualifications/Requirements:Tertiary qualification in Environment related discipline or equivalent experience.Experience as a Lead auditor in Management Systems preferred. High level of communication, influencing, engagement and negotiation skillsKnowledge and experience in developing, implementing, and maintaining HSE management systems.Current ‘C’ class driver’s licenceWhat we can offer:A permanent, full-time roleCompetitive salary with 10% superannuation, employee incentives, benefits, and rewards programAn opportunity to be part of a global company, entering a growth phaseWe believe our people are our greatest asset, and we are committed to providing a supportive and collaborative work environment where our people can develop, both personally and professionally.
