Accounts Payables Officer

Headquartered in Australia, Perenti has operations and offices in 12 countries across four continents, employs around 8,000 mining professionals and is creating enduring value and certainty for clients on some of the world's largest mining projects.Accounts Payable OfficerReporting to the Accounts Payable Team Leader, the Accounts Payable Officer will be responsible for supporting and assisting the Finance team in undertaking day-to-day Accounts Payable function and to support the Accounts Receivable and Payroll Officers, as required.Key ResponsibilitiesPay suppliers by monitoring rebate opportunities, scheduling and preparing checks, resolving purchase orders, contract, invoice, or payment discrepancies and documentationPrepare payment commitment reports to ensure sufficient funds are in place before creating and uploading payment files for approvalProcess with 100% accuracy all purchasing and reporting of transactionPrimary contact for all Supplier account queries, redirect, and liaise with Business Units as requiredReconcile Supplier statements to monthly/quarterly transactionsReconciliation of Creditor Aged Trial balance in accordance with the Group’s policiesContribute to the development of tools and resources, systemisation, and policies & procedures for the business.Provide annual leave and sick leave cover for the Accounts Receivable if required.Role Specific RequirementsPreferably a minimum of 3 years relevant experience in a similar positionExperience in using financial management software and reporting toolsThorough understanding of accounts payable processes including double-entry accounting, reconciliations and reporting.Experience with Pronto is essentialCoupa and Microsoft Office Suite is desirableCertificate IV in accounting or equivalent qualification or knowledge and experienceHigh attention to detail and accuracy in workStrong relationship-building skills, with both internal and external stakeholdersCurrent National Police ClearanceWork EligibilityRight to work in Australia with no restriction on hours (e.g. citizen, permanent resident)Job Type: Permanent, full-timeThe Perenti Group of companies will comply with all applicable government directives or Public Health Orders.  Should a government directive or Public Health Order mandate specific vaccinations for our people, we will require employees to comply with these requirements.  This may involve employees providing proof of vaccination as a condition of employment.
